Colin Diemer: Circuits, Degenerations, and Mirror Symmetry
In my previous talk (as well as the talks of G. Kerr and in
a different context D. Favero's) we saw how to use walls in the
secondary fan (or edges in the secondary polytope) to construct
relations in symplectic mapping class groups of toric hypersurfaces.
This talk will discuss some applications (some conjectural); including
appearances in mirror symmetry and a morse theoretic approach to
tropical geometry.
