Ricardo Sa Earp got a Doctor degree in Mathematics from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica of Rio de Janeiro in 1986. Held a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Paris VII 1986-1989. Often, since 1989, has been a visiting professor to do a research at the Université de Paris VII and at the Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu-Geometrie et Dynamique. Maître de Conférence Invité at the Université de Dijon in 1988/1989, Professeur Invité at the Université de Paris VII in 2004 and 2011. Professeur Invité at the Université de Grenoble in 2001 and 2008. He is currently Associate Professor at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica of Rio de Janeiro. He works in Mathematics, with emphasis on Differential Geometry, making a link with Partial Differential Equations. His current line of research versa around the theme of minimal surfaces and its generalizations. He also studies the minimal equation and mean curvature equation and other similar nonlinear elliptic partial differential equations arising from geometry. He is sponsored by a research grant from CNPq. Cientista de Nosso Estado by FAPERJ in 2008. He worked at the Universidad Nacional de San Agustin, Arequipa, Peru, in 2010 and 2012, estimulating researchs among teachers arequipenhos giving mini-courses and lectures, including an elementary talk to attend several high schools in Arequipa. This Project was sponsored by the MATH AM SUD and by CAPES of Brazil. |
