Renormalization for multicritical circle maps

In one-dimensional dynamics, renormalization has become a powerful tool to get some surprising results. Recently, mathematicians were able to get a complete description of universal phenomenon in the space of unimodal maps, developing a theory of renormalization. In this talk, I will give an introduction to this topic and I will present some recent results in the case of multicritical circle maps.
