Degenerate rational maps

The space of rational maps acting on the Riemann sphere is a non-compact complex manifold. The aim of the talk is to examine the dynamical behavior of rational maps near infinity. I will provide an overview of some known results and techniques. A new result about describing the behavior of the measures of maximal entropy will be presented. This new result is a joint work with Hongming Nie and answers a question raised by Laura De Marco.
